Who knows of really great sushi around 52nd and Park? Takeout or delivery is a plus but is not necessary. I've tried Hatsuhana and Sushi Ann lately and been let down at both. I don't need expensive sushi -- Natori in the East Village is fantastic and cheap, for example.
I went to Sushi Ann last night and had one of the most disappointing meals I've had in recent memory. Went in with high hopes because a friend said that it was their favorite restaurant in this area. The rice was mealy and the seaweed had the less-than-endearing texture of a thin rectangle of leather. And the fish, the fish. The yellowtail was edible, and that's about it. The baby scallops were fishy little slivers of rubber.
Anyone have suggestions? Thanks very much in advance.
