Every year I go on a quest for Sufganiyot for Channukah. I know it's tough to beat them fresh out of the fryer, but I feel compelled to at least find some that taste good i.e fresh with a . balanced proportion of jelly and pastry; fried in oil that hasn't been used for something savory etc. etc. I've already been disappointed by Ostrovitsky (sp?) on Ave. J. and Pita Sababa on King's Highway. I've heard Chiffon on Coney Island Ave is good and I plan to check it out. Any others?
(I do not want "regular" jelly doughnuts since I don't think they're quite the same...)
