We always take the dog out to a patio-type joint for his birthday and get him a plain hamburger patty and a few special cookies from 3 Dog. Usually, we have to find a spot where the dog can sit with us outside and enjoy his patty, where the staff gives him plenty of petting, and where they understand odd dog owners (in LA, this is no problem.) We also like good food and libations for us.

Finally, as few OTHER dogs as possible. My dog is terrified of dogs. Go figure.

Where can we go? Does Zeke's allow dogs on the patio?

So far, we've had luck at Lucky Baldwin's, The Gordon Beich in Burbank (no longer, I think we just found a really understanding wiatress), some place on 3rd in SM that raised eyebrows at us but went along, and a few places in Santa Barbera.

Suggestions? He turns 8 on the 20th.
