My parents recently moved to Boyes Hot Springs and I'm looking forward to exploring the area. I've spent a lot of time in West County but haven't ever had much luck finding great food further east. I find most of the offerings on the Sonoma square lackluster and overpriced, but I'm happy to be convinced otherwise. I'm especially interested in investigating the taquerias, trucks, and markets outside the square, towards Boyes HS and Glen Ellen.
From some research, Rancho Viejo is on my list. And Eat_Nopal has done some pretty amazing work over in the Roseland area of Santa Rosa so I will definitely be heading in that direction.
One more question: will I have to trek out to the Flying Goat to get good coffee?
I will report back!
