Quick review of Cafe Divine in SF

Cafe Divine is the semi-new cafe that replaced the breakfast spot on the corner of Washington Square.

Last night a girlfriend and I went for a light dinner. I ordered Il Canto pizzata and she ordered the Ham and (fancy cheese) pannini.

Both items were pretty well done. The pizza crust was the thin and crunchy crusted kind, with lots of flavorful toppings like pickled peppers, red onions, ham and cheese.

Her pannini was very nice with ham, cheese, apples and fig compote.

The service was lack luster. Only one waiter, nice guy, but very spacy.

I like their interior. High ceilings and antique bar counter really made the cafe feel like it belongs in North Beach.
