Being (originally) from Cape Cod my culinary leaning and home cooking preference is Portuguese. One favorite is Caldo Verde--Kale soup. This dish relies on Linguica a Portuguese sausage similar to spanish chourico. I've tried Hungarian sausages, spanish chouricos and other "near linguicas". But none taste quite right (or at least sufficiently authentic). I've had Linguica shipped in from New Bedford, MA and ordered over the web. As of yet I've found no store in Chicago with Portuguese ingredients. I am also looking for Portuguese sweet rolls. Any suggestions? Is there a market I've missed?
