The newly reopened Harrys of Hannover Square

I had the pleasure of eating at the newly reopened Harrys yesterday, and what a surprise it was! Although the great old square bar and Gordon Gekko ambiance are gone the new place satisfies many cravings for us working downtown. The menu was the most inventive I've seen in the area and the food was delicious. I opted for the crackling pork shank, a delicious hard crusted pork shank with homemade apple sauce. This may have been the best food I've had downtown in 4 years. One of the people in our party had the tuna burger which was actually ground tuna rather than a steak patty, she said it was delicious. The third member had their filet mignon steak sandwich which he said was very good.

The wine by the glass is reasonably priced and covers a vast array of types and tastes. The bottled wine menu is extensive and dessert was top notch. All in all a very welcome addition to the neighborhood even if I do miss that old square bar!
