Hubby & I went there last night and you know... "it was good, dawg, but you know, just alright" (okay, admittedly I've been watching too much 'Idol').

We started with the capresse salad. Now here's the thing about this rather simple dish -- there's 3 ingredients so each ingredient needs to be top drawer. The cheese was nice but the tomatoes, small, tasteless and boring. And there was hardly any basil! Disappointing.

Our pastas were good. Hubby had the Trenette Carbonara and enjoyed it, fine. I had the
Reginette di Montagna (pasta w/ mushrooms & sausage, cream sauce), which was rather enjoyable, until I realized that there was hardly any sausage in it. Loved, though, that it was not overly sauced which is how it should be done.

We were in the mood for dessert but nothing seemed "special" enough for the indulgence.

The price was just right since we bought our own bottle of wine and there's no corkage fee (yet)... our meal, sans tip, was under $40! That was definitely a big plus. We wanted to get a to-go menu, but they didn't have one ready. They really should since the venue is so small that they should capitalize on the "to-go" business.

Speaking of the venue, it's really, really small. Not small & cool like a bistro, but small as in too small and I think they would have been better off shopping around for a bigger space.
