Joseph Poon Chef Kitchen

We went to Joseph Poon for Center City Restaurant Week tonight and had our best RW experience in six years. Definitely recommend it if you want good food and interaction with the chef but don't care as much about the ambiance (the setting is the site of his cooking classes and pretty industrial in feel).

The usual three-course RW menu stretched into four courses - and closer to eight if you count the separate preparations for the lobster and meat courses. Everything was great and we really enjoyed interacting with Chef Poon between courses. Really good value too - the second course included the equivalent of one small lobster per person. First course included a duck roll that wasn't on the menu but tasted great. The dessert course was a sampler with three tastes, each better than the next.

He's donating all RW profits to Haiti relief right now too, so you can eat well and feel good about it.
