My girlfriend and I have never been out for steak as "just the two of us." Friends and family have always been involved.
I promised her that would change.
So here we go - Saturday night, we want to do steak. Here is my primary question:
Palm or Sparks?
I love Sparks b/ce the food is generally perfect, the tomato & onion salad is great, etc. However, I'm worried that the atmosphere won't be exactly "upbeat" for a Saturday night. Plus, IMO Sparks does not have the greatest sides. I like Palm a lot too - will it be more appropriate for us?
I don't want to head out to Lugers. We've been to Del Friscos with family. We've never been to the real Wollensky's, but have eaten at the grill many many times. Don't want a place that is "cool" like Dylan Prime. Just want a traditional steak meal in a lively atmosphere. Someplace I (stressed out financial type) and my girlfriend (stressed out law student) can kick back for a few hours.
