Giovanna's (Balt) good food, hospitality, low prices- others?

By now there have been a number of posts about a small italian carryout on Harford Road near Mastelleone's. I returned tonight with my wife and enjoyed wonderful homemade tortellini, lasagna, and a small salad containing iceberg lettuce, shredded carrots, a few radish slices, and tomatoes with a vinaigrette dressing with parmesan cheese and herbs with garlic bread for $15.64 (total bill). We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner's newborn grandson and son in law who were in from Dallas for a visit with the proud new grandparents.

I asked here in the past what other places might be similar to the quality of products produced at Giovanna's given the low prices and hospitalty offered. From Chow reviews Rinco Peruano and Fiesta Mexicana in Rosedale may be worthy candidates. I haven't tried Fiesta Mexicana yet but look forward to doing so.

This is not the place where "Hi I'm ___ I'll be your server tonight" works. This is the place where the owners likely will know your name after a couple of visits and you will want to know more about them.

There are only a few seats so eating in can be difficult but with the weather starting to warm up their patio is starting to look inviting.
