Flying blind here... staying at the Four Seasons

adamclyde | Apr 23, 2006 08:59 PM

Just found out I'm going to be in Toronto tomorrow. I've got time for a lunch and dinner. I'm a little embarrassed... I know nothing about Toronto from a food perspective, nor do I have any clue whatsoever how to get around. Thank goodness for cab drivers - especially when my employer is paying for them!

(I've tried scouring this board here for the past hour, but with no prior knowledge of toronto, I just don't know where to start.)

So, for lunch, I should probably stick close to the Four Seasons. It's on 21 Avenue Rd in Toronto. Anywhere close by for a good lunch? I don't need high end (though not opposed to it), I'm most interested in just something very good and satisfying. I've heard Toronto has great asian food. That true? not that I have to have asian... but is there anything nearby that would satisfy?

For dinner - I've got a larger circumference, but should probably stick to around a 10-15 minute cab ride, really. But preferences for places that are closer to the hotel.

Anyhow, I'm open to what would be great in Toronto, any cuisine. Maybe something that has been hot on these boards recently? Sorry to give such a vague request. hoping someone has any ideas...

I promise to report back!

Thanks, from your hapless yankee friend to the south...
