Fish taco's at Acapulco's in Sudbury

I had a craving for Mexican so I went to Acapulco in Sudbury. After reading about fish taco's here on Chowhound and seeing a segment on a Food Network show I decided to give theirs a try.

The meal consisted of 3 soft-shell taco's on a plate- the taco's already had the fish filling inside and were separated from each other by a square of wax paper. Also on the plate were refried beans and cheese, slightly spicy Mexican rice; and a rectangular dish held onions, something else I can't remember, and cilantro. The overall presentation could have been better. The rice and refried beans/cheese looked like they had been troweled over the plate. The tacos in the soft taco shell were a bit oily. As a whole, the main course was just o.k. I wouldn't rush to order it again when there are other interesting things on the menu.

For dessert I had the friend ice cream which was a healthy scoop of vanilla ice cream that was quickly deep friend with a corn chip coating. It was garnished with chocolate sauce and a drizzle of what appeared to be cherry sauce. Also included were two pieces of a non-dusted sapodilla.

The service was good and the waiter answered all my questions. I enjoyed the restaurant but this menu entry will fall into the ‘I’ll get it again if I can’t decide on anything else” category.
