Help: can't find the Bordelaise recipe of Christmas past

We've decided to take a break from the usual duck breasts for Christmas and want to revisit an old favourite: roast beef tenderloin with Bordelaise sauce. The recipe came from an old French cookbook and involved a bunch of roasted vegetables. I can't remember if they were served around the roast or pureed into the sauce but its the sauce we're really after. Any ideas?
