I don't know where the owners came from, or if someone in Alpine sold their soul to get some decent food out here, but, the pizza at Alpine Pizza and Pasta is good. They are located inside the old video store in the center of town. Not to be mistaken for the old "Video World Pizza," which was awful, this is a new venture.
They serve thin crust, which politely stands up firm to the weight of the generous toppings. The dough is like a true, italian style pie. We have tried the pepperoni (basic and delicious); and the Mediterranean, which features cherry tomatoes cut in half and PLACED on the pie, ricotta, feta, artichokes, and olives. I usually don't go for this kind if pizza because the combination of ingredients can make for a salt-fest. Not so with this wonderful pie. Everything is fresh and savory.
Could be a hidden EC gem.
