Doghouse Grill/Fresno

Wow, talk about a contrast, from the Vintage Steakhouse to the Doghouse Grill, within four days of each other! This was my son's suggestion, and I was a bit apprehensive at first, but have heard great things about this place from other water polo parents. So, I thought why not!

We treated our son and his fiance to a farewell meal (they are headed over to the Oregon Coast for a week!) and I was considering Logan's Roadhouse, but they have been there and did not care for it. So, we chose the Doghouse Grill, located on Shaw, by the SaveMart Center.

The place is NOISY and LOUD but oh so much FUN! You order up at the front and then have to go get your food, or there is full service at the bar stools at the front of the place. Lots of yummy choices, from hamburgers to ribs. I chose the rib plate for $8.95 that came with a small side salad and some very good warm bread. The ribs were the best I've found in this area. I don't care for Tony Roma's at all, but these were wonderful! They put some sort of raspberry jam sauce on them and it's great! We also had a big side of onion rings which were excellent.

This is a great place to chow down at cheap prices, lots of food, fun and commaradarie. We will definitely return again. I want to try their hamburgers next time. They place was totally packed at 7:00 on a Fri. night. I had to snatch a table before it was even cleaned just to grab a spot. I would highly recommend this place to anyone hungry and looking for great food in this area. ***kim***
