Brief Dining Notes for Las Vegas

Made a short 3-day staying in Sin City -- here are a few notes on the dining establishments I visited:

1) lunch buffet @ Sam's Town: For $6.99 I was satisfied but not overly thrilled. Nice deserts, good service, tasty roast beef. But the rice pilaf was awful.

2) Redwood Bar & Grill @ The Cal: My group each had the $14.95 Porterhouse special. The place was packed but service was good and the steak was cooked perfectly. I'd definitely come back again.

3) Kathy's Southern Cooking: Fried chicken & lemonade was what I had and it it the spot. I've been here twice before and love it.

4) Grand Lux Cafe @ The Venetian: This has always been the last stop before I head to the airport. The fruit smoothies are delicious. I had the BBQ duck pot sticker appetizer and the Indochine shrimp & chicken entree. I never have room for desert. The one thing I noticed on this trip was the emptiness of the place. It was only 1/2 full and no lines in front.
