going to LA this weekend for fast trip -- looking for great meals of all prices for all times of day. will be with beloved big sister. in the mix we'd like a fabulous outdoor lunch place, the kind with umbrellas and either in a courtyard or somewhere with a great view. we are good eaters... a brunch place too, and a suggestion for the Farmers Market on is it Fairfax? I had a great donut there once but feel like there must be something amazing that I am missing.
any suggestions for "don't miss" small stuff to do would be great. I am hoping to see the Roy McMakin exhibit at the Blue Whale...so maybe a lunch place on Melrose in the design district?
we're staying in at the Venice Beach inn...
among my favorite things in LA -- Larry's bacon and avocado hamburger on Sepulveda, I think, and the little mexican place on the main street up from the beach in Venice... it's all white inside with a snack bar that turns a corner and they serve an amazing pork and tomatillo taco. We also like fabulousness...little places. About to read the board but am a little slammed with work what with the war and all...
SO the challenge: the perfect, 3 day-balanced eating experience in LA/Venice/Santa Monica. Need responses by COB Friday! Thanks and if you come to DC I'll totally hook you up!
