Chicago message board split into smaller parts.

We've just archived a large part of this board -- it'll load a lot faster than before, but any bookmarks to the archived messages will no longer work.

Most messages that used to be on this Chicago board were moved to separate pages that are accessible by clicking the "View Earlier Threads" links at the top and bottom of this page. You can find these older, archived threads and their messages there. These pages are numbered sequentially from highest to lowest going from most current to oldest threads.

If you had previously used your browser to bookmark those messages when they used to be on this board, then using those bookmarks will now return a 404 Page Not Found error.

BUT, here's a workaround -- try parsing the bookmark URL and inserting different "archive" board numbers:

For example, change the old URL from --

[BROKEN LINK REMOVED]

to include the most recent archive board #4 --

[BROKEN LINK REMOVED]

or to board #3 --

[BROKEN LINK REMOVED]

or so on until it successfully retrieves the message.

If the bookmarks aren't too old, then the messages shouldn't be much further back than a few archive pages.

The old Chicago board was split into 5 separate pages:

Chicago Board #1 discussion threads are dated from 6/9/98 to 3/12/02.

Chicago Board #2 discussion threads are dated from 3/12/02 to 9/20/02.

Chicago Board #3 discussion threads are dated from 9/20/02 to 3/7/03.

Chicago Board #4 discussion threads are dated from 3/8/03 to 7/28/03.

The current Chicago Board discussion threads are dated from 7/28/03 to current.

If you don't need to find a specific message you had bookmarked, then no problem, just continue using the board the way you always did and click back through the "View Older Threads" links to browse through all the older, archived threads.
