Cassell's (just got back from)

I was craving a burger and since everyone speaks so highly about Cassells I tried it.

It was empty when I got there, they were about to close (4pm). I ordered two cheeseburgers and a large lemonade, I was mad cause it came to $12.65, which I think is high. Anyway, I get back to the car and opened the bag, it smelled WONDERFUL, it might be the best smelling burger in LA for sure, so that made me a lil less mad, then I picked it up and it was a nice size too, so that made me feel a little better about the price. The burger was good, actually VERY good, not LA's best burger but I can see why people love it. On a scale of 1-10 I give it a 8.5. I would have given it more, but it had NO SEASONING on it. I don't know if they are all like that but I tasted a piece of the meat by itself and it was bland, very nice grade, but bland. I can see why people might say it's LAs best burger, if they had seasoned it better and maybe added a lil more of this and that, I could see myself freaking out over it. So if someone caught them on a good day, I can see how they'd rave about it. The bread and the mayo were excellent! I liked the taste pickles and the lettuce on it too. The tomato wasn't the best but it didn't harm it at all. If I ate it there and was able to add my own condiments then yeah, it might have gotten a 9 or 9.5. I'd definitely go again. Good find! Thanks. I usually just go to apple pan, Fatburger or Tommy's. Apple Pan is still my favorite. It's expensive too tho. :)
