Just happenned to hit all three this last week.
Bymark for lunch. Had the steak tartare and frites companion had the tuna.We Oooed and ahhhed when the plates arrived. Beautifully presented and delicious.Warm buzzy corporate atmosphere (contradiction in terms, I know).I will return.
Vervaine for dinner with five companions. So-so to good food (when you eventually get it), terrible service (drinks took forever from initial order right to the bitter end), very bad ventilation causing unpleasant smoky kitchen smell and too warm. Unattentive and uninformed service by empty headed young things.Life is too short,will not return.
Starfish for dinner- The Gallway oysters (only place in North America that serves them) are to die for as are the Nova Scotia scallops on the half shell and the bream. The smoothest,creamiest Guiness on tap in the city too. The staff cheerful,extremely professional and efficient, the ambiance warm and casual. One leaves at peace with the universe, can't wait to go back.
