The new place near Skippack & Dekalb pikes opened over the weekend, so I went last night to try them out. The interior is gourmet deli style - cases of nicely prepared & presented dishes, a few tables, and a cheery yellow interior. Reminded me of the small roadside eateries I saw in Italy.

I sampled the zuchinni ripeni, the eggplant polpette and the caprese salad. The zuchinni ripene was my favorite, stuffed with ground veal and cheese. The flavors were balanced, and it was very satisfying. The eggplant was a unique presentation: chunks formed into balls, breaded and lightyly sauteeed. I added some red sauce to top them off. The caprese was as it should be - the tastes of summer tomatoes & basil between layers of fresh mozz. My son had the pork belly, which he said was the best he had ever tasted. LOL - I didn't even get a bite, so I will have to try again.

I saw, but didn't try, an assortment of yummy looking breads, as well as pastries & coffee service for breakfast.

The pleasant surprise here is the pricing - eggplant & salad wer $4, zuchinini & pork belly were $8. Beat that in Montgomery County! This seems like a great new spot for a quick bite, or some delicious & healthy take out for lunch & dinner.
