In 6-8 weeks, I will have a window for a weekday breakfast in mid-town east, focused on Kips Bay, but with time to go somewhat out of the neighborhood.
Things I'm looking for:
-- sit down, not "scrambled eggs on a roll to go" breakfast on the run
-- savory rather than sweet. No muffins, pastries, or waffles/pancakes. So, that basically means omelets, scrambles, and frittatas. Not eggs benny, as Hollandaise sauce isn't my thing.
-- I like creativity in my omelets/scrambles/frittatas. Something other than the usual Western or spinach and feta omelets.
Good Enough to Eat
is the sort of thing, but it's way too far uptown (and, of course, on the wrong side).
