Hi from a Philadelphia Chowhound!
I'm flying into Seattle on Friday for a conference planning meeting. Our group has already planned dinner for Friday at Elliot's Oyster House. (Looks expensive and touristy from the menu but I didn't choose). Any suggestions for what to eat without blowing the expense account?
Now on to controllable items.
I'm staying at the Red Lion Hotel on Fifth. I've been in Seattle before but not for at least 12 years. I won't have car and I'm not sure what this is near.
JUST as important as dinner is breakfast! I tend not to want to eat in hotel restaurants or coffee shops. Also, I like great local finds near my hotel. I'll need Saturday and Sunday Breakfast. Any great ideas (okay, besides Starbucks!)?
And we will nedd a location for a group dinner - probabably 10 people for Saturday night with easy access from the hotel. Any really cool suggestions - on the moderate side please - are welcome. At least one of the group is a vegetarian.
Thanks. Sorry for such short notice!
