Boring Palate Grandparents, Wheelchair Access -- West Village/Chelsea/Meatpacking

My grandparents are coming to lunch in the city. They have VERY plain tastes (scrambled eggs, broiled fish with no sauce or seasoning, hush puppies, roast beef, and think fresh herbs are "Fancy"). My uncle will be bringing them in, and he's in a wheelchair. I only have a few hours to show them a tiny piece of New York, so I've decided to sit with everyone on the Highline (yay for the wheelchair access in the elevator!) and bring them to lunch somewhere a block or so at most from one of the elevators. I'm thinking it's going to end up being a diner, but I'd love a suggestion with some interesting items for those of us who love food AND some very simple items to appease my grandparents' admittedly picky tastes.

Anyone have ideas? It'll be a Saturday, so I guess brunch menus will be out.

Thanks!
