Bar Minnow - Brooklyn

My girlfriend, Stefanie, and I popped in to Minnow last night hoping that the prixe fix menu would be good. I was in the mood for crabs. They only had crab cakes which I didn't care for. :( I'm sad to say I was disappointed.

There were only THREE offerings, one starter (?) , one entree(salmon) and one dessert(?). That's it!What a way to entice guests to come back. Needless to say we didn't have the prixe fix but managed to polish of some raw bar items and the fried chicken (the crust was good but the meat was a bit oily on the inside. Also had the sausage (very good and good portion!) after finding out that their BBQ Pork (or was that chicken?) sandwich isn't WITH BBQ sauce but rather cooked ON A BBQ. strange. good thing the waiter told me. Hence the sausage.

The service was good and we managed to score a spot at the bar beforehand. the wait was about 20 minutes. High Def TVs had the Met game on (score! it's good to see they're not yankee fans.), too.

I'd go back but only for the "all you can eat crab" days.
