someone told me about some authentic Italian restaurant around the area of Hollywood Blvd and Wilcox or Wilton?? It is supposed to be really good and known for their ravioli...is that even possible in Hollywood?! What's it called? Who's been there? Tell me what you know!

THE restaurant you want is: Osteria La Buca on Melrose at Wilton. It is the most authentic Italian you will find this side of Napoli. Phone: 323.462.1900 or web: www.osterialabuca.com. I eat there regularly and can testify that it has ... hand down ... much better pasta, pizza, etc. that Mozza or anyplace else I have tried.

You could be thinking of Miceli's which is located on Las Palmas just a few feet South of Hollywood Blvd. They do have good ravioli, pizza and lasagna among other things and have been around since 1949. Red leather booths, classic food and a traditional Italian flare makes this place a Hollywood institution.
