Anyone have a recipe for engagement chicken?
Hi,
I just read an article about this amazing chicken dish, called "engagement chicken".
It was a segment on Good Morning America, and have googled and searched, but nothing except blips on the article. No recipe came up.
Anyhow, I would love a new chicken recipe, since I eat a lot of chicken these days.
Thanks.

Are you sure you don't mean Anniversary Chicken? Recipe link below, sounds like a sodium bomb. Maybe someone will have the one you are seeking....there are tons and tons and tons of chicken recipes on this board if you do a search...subject comes up pretty frequently which is great, someone always jumps in with a new idea:

This rings a bell with me and I think I know what book I'm thinking of, but it's at home and I'm at work (if I'm correct). I'll check back later. It was basically a simple roasted chicken, though.

here ya go...according to GMA it was from Glamour Mag. (but interesting it's just Hazan!)

Thank you pamd, I wondered what the buzz was about!
But, being a Hazan recipe, it ought to be delish. The only time I have whole chicken now though (ssshhh), is when I pick up rotissarie at Costco ; ) .

No, but I have one for Catch a Man apple pie.
It is a slight variation on the deep dish apple pie in one of the Silver Palate books. One of my hardcore feminist friends gave me the recipes, so I always call it by its full name.

I love that Hazan recipe, it's easy and foolproof. Since "Essentials" by Hazan was a COTM, here are some reports on that recipe:

Thanks andytee,
I just made chicken marbella on Sunday for guests!
That is such a great dish, I haven't found one person snub their nose at the prunes, oh sorry dried plums ; ).
