"Elegant-Casual" Dress Code?

My sister has invited us to celebrate her birthday tonight at Scalini Fedeli right after work. I've never been, so I went to their website to check it out. It looks magnificent: http://www.scalinifedeli.com/scaliniN...

I'm just worried that I'll be under-dressed, wearing a sweater-dress rather than something fancier. I called to see what their dress code was and they said "elegant-casual".

What does this mean to you?

  1. I hope this is not too late... I would normally wear something along the lines of a skirt with a twin set, dressing things up a bit with a scarf. Slacks with a dressy-ish blouse and, perhaps, a jacket would also work. However, since it appears you don't have time to change, I think your sweater dress will fine.

Happy Birthday to your sister! Enjoy!
