Great, Gi-normous Burritos @ Hacienda Grill in Richmond

Big burritos are often not very well made or tasty. But that wasn't the case at The Hacienda Grill in Richmond. Delicious. Order a super burrito if you're up for the challenge. This restaurant is located at the corner of Harbour Way and Nevin (1000 Nevin), right next to Kaiser Permanente. Hacienda Grill also serves up a wide variety of other mexican dishes. If you live in the northern East Bay, it's a must try.

  1. sounds great - always glad to hear of a new find in this area. what type of filling did you try? carnitas, al pastor, carne asada?

    1. re: Gordon Wing

I had the carne asada burrito. But the menu has several dishes I'd have loved to try.

Try the delicious lemonade, it's a hit.

    2. Every time i've been to Hacienda Grill, it's been fantastic. The service is wonderful - they are a great family who live in SF and opened the restaurant not too long ago. The shrimp/spinach tacos and enchilladas are my favorite.

      1. Yeah, good luck to me for getting an answer on this ... but it doesn't hurt to ask ...

Has anyone had the desserts here?

I figured it was at least time to pick up a menu and check them out ... pretty basic Mexican with a little digression of tempura calamari ... tuna sandwich with wasabi aioli, minted chili & pickled ginger ... grilled soy marinated steak sandwich on a French roll.

        Then there are the desserts:

Chocolate raspberry wontons served with vanilla dipping sauce, caramel sauce & confectioner's sugar $3.50

Marshmalow sundae - vanilla ice toffee with raspberry sauce and grilled marshmallow on a stick $3.75

Banana fritters with ice cream of the day covered with chocolate and caramel sauce $3.50

Housemade cinnamon raisin bread pudding with ice cream of the day & caramel sauce $4.25

        Banana splits $3.75

Sorbet of the day - 'special sorbet served every day' $3

Anyone tried these? What's best? Worth the calories?
