BASTIDE - Anyone know why the restaurant closed?

Just wondering if anyone know's what happened to BASTIDE? Perhaps old news, I've just been out of the loop. Thanks!

  1. Closed for a complete overhaul and remodel, will reopen in the spring.

        Or ... "Bacon Cheese Foam"

Although, I've always really enjoyed Bastide, even after it went totally cutting-edge on the food.

          What about "Coca-cola chicken?"

I like Bastide, too, and miss it. The people there were exceptionally nice; they let me go into the kitchen to meet the chef. The place had a fab wine list, too - I recall having wine from an era before my grandparents were born.

      2. From what I have read, it will open when Joe Pytka makes up his mind what he wants. I look forward to checking out whatever it turns out to be. The one meal I had at BASTIDE was exceptional.
