Newmarket -- Solo Sushi-ya
My wife and I tried this restaurant 2 months ago and found it very enjoyable. I found the fish to be very fresh and tasty. My wife and I have tried the omakase ($45) and also the chef's bento ($28?). We enjoyed both but the omakase was much more filling and took a bit more time versus the chef's bento.
I ventured out there based on a Toronto Star review.
Any other opinion?

Where in Newmarket is this restaurant?
I live in the area, and always up to trying out a new sushi restaurant.

It's close to Yonge

FWIW, the food critic in the local paper also gave it a very favourable review. I frequent Sushi Sushi (Yonge north of Davis) and Sushi Itto (Yonge & Mulock) but have yet to try Sushi-ya.
Sushi-ya is very near the intersection of Davis Drive and Lorne Avenue on the north side of Davis. Probably just over a click east of Yonge.
