I've read nothing but negative reviews since this Downtown LA Restaurant opened a year of so ago. Last night we decided to "take one for the team" and try it. We expected a less than CH experience and were pleasantly surprised.
Mushroom Soup, light and nice.
Arugula Salad w/apples and cheese was fresh and large so it could be easily split.
The PIZZA(Sciciliana) was amazing, also semi-expensive, but worth it. One of the best in LA and definitely Downtown LA for sure.
Made in a Brick Oven. Mark is the Dough maker and Antonio is the Pizza Cooker(I asked the names so if it ever changes I'll know who to blame).
The Linguini and Clams were above average.
NY Steak was above average.
NO CORKAGE CHARGE like all Patina Group Restaurants (except Patina). Service was fine.
We will be returning, probably next week and to think we almost never gave this restaurant a chance based on previous reviews. Sometimes Food and Service change for the better.
