I'm taking my mom out for lunch on Friday- she is coming into Grand Central from CT, I'll be meeting here there from Park Slope.
I wanted to take her to Lady M's for tea (she has always wanted to go) but I can only get a later reservation. She also doesn't want half her lunch being desserts :)
She suggested Sarabeths but she has been many times I I would like for us to go somewhere new. I thought maybe Balthazar but she has been there once.
The place doesnt have to be fancy but should be somewhere with a variety on the menu- salads, sandwiches, entrees. We dont need to stay around Grand Central because we'll take the train wherever but I dont want it to be too big of a haul transferring and whatnot.
If you have a favorite place you like, a cute little bistro lunch spot or cafe thats been around forever, I would love to hear about it.
