French fries and sweet potato fries dominate the Bay Areas fried tuber landscape. What are some of the other notable deep fried starchy dishes worth trying?

My favorite right now are Pica Pica Maize Kitchen's yuca fries. They chop yuca to the dimensions of large mozzarella sticks, and boil them before tossing them in the deep frier. Like good Belgian fries, they have a great crunch on the outside, were not greasy, and were soft on the inside. I'm not a fan of garlic fries, so I declined their offer to toss the fries with garlic and cilantro. They're great by themselves, but you get for free one of five different dipping sauces (a guacamole costs extra). I went with the spiced ketchup, which seemed to overwhelm the flavor of the fries. The leftover aioili from my Pernil Cachapa was a much better pairing, so I'm tempted to get their sour cream and smoked chili dipping sauce next time.

Most of the peruvian and pan-latino places in SF have yuca fries on the menu, but none captured my attention like the ones at Pica Pica. Do any other places provide a worthy contender to the french fry, and are there any other fried tubers worth noting?
