I'm about to try the 4 new Cheeses that I haven't yet had the chance to try. Those names include the popular, yet not always easy to find Beecher's Smoked Flagship, Comte, Crucolo & Manchego Cheeses.
I simply wanted to know if anyone else tried any or all of these & what their experience/preference was for them. Can you also tell me what the key differences, if any significance, there are between these 4 Cheeses? At the same time, I also bought the usual favorite of mine yesterday & that is the popular, well known N.Y. Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Perhaps are any of these relatively similar or somewhat salty like that?
What are your comments on these & why is one "better" than the other? As a side note, the cost per pound going from least to most was Manchego, Comte, then Crucolo, with Beecher's Smoked Flagship costing the most per pound. Why would you say/think that one would cost that much more than the other, especially the relatively local Beecher's Smoked Flagship costing the most?!?!
