New Yakitori in OC?

Mealcentric | May 15, 2005 07:38 PM

Went to Dadami in Costa Mesa to have ramen only to discover that they were now a Yakitori shop called "Harvest Yakitori"

Decided to give it a shot, even though I was craving ramen, and ordered the gambit of yakitori dishes-cartilage, chicken with Sisho, chicken with wasabi, gizzards, meatballs, squid, stuffed peppers, quail eggs, half quail and ginko nuts (I'm surely forgetting a couple of dishes, which I guess, says something about the meal).

The best dishes of the meal were the chicken meatballs and the chicken in sisho leaf. The half quail was a little dry on the inside and not charred enough on the outside. Some dishes were too salty and others were served luke warm. Nothing was great, but nothing was spectacular. At around $2 a stick, I probably wouldnt come back and would much rather wait until my name is called at the list at Honda-Ya.

For those that want to try this place, be warned, everything is heavily seasoned with MSG...
