It's open year round and since they reopened after Sandy, I haven't been. The buzz on the street has it that they have upped their game and the food is better than before.
I know that the Nautical Mile has become a summer hot spot for clubbing, but this place has been serving food since 1978 and is not a club scene.
I'm told again, the fried shrimp are house made, not the commercial stuff like the diner, the grilled calamari is worthy and they currently have steamers that are better than most.
If you've been, is it lunch that will keep me closer to Freeport than Rockville Centre? Bigelows has upped their prices a bit more than they're worth...
Or, if you've been, should I just wait for the Nautical Mile Restaurant week April 6-13 with a Dinner prix fixe of 3 courses for $27 ?
