Going to visit the in-laws in Green Valley. They're not fans of Mexican food, but know that I like to try new things, and have recommended Wisdom's Cafe for all of us to eat at together. I'm worried that it will be too generic mex-american for my tastes, and I shouldn't take them up on that, since they're doing it to be nice to me, and they don't like that kind of food.
I'd prefer a real Sonoran place. El Charro in Tucson sound interesting, as I've never had carne seca (I'm from the Northeast), but I think they'd hate it, so I don't want to suggest that.
But, is Wisdom's better than I expect? Or would Longhorn Grill in Amado be a better choice?
Just trying to please everyone, as they're very nice in-laws, but still get a taste of S. Az! Maybe I'll have to sneak out for snacks....
