I made one of my periodic visits to the Grocery Outlet in Petaluma yesterday. The most interesting wines for sale were 3 wines under the "Little Valley Wine Company" label, vinted and bottled in St. Helena and selling for $4.99.
The wines are a Russian River Pinot Noir (2001), an Anderson Valley Gewurztraminer and a Napa Valley Semillon.
Obviously, the wines are over-production from other wineries. I bought a bottle of the pinot noir and will have it with dinner tonite. Hopefully, it will taste, at the very least, like a $6 bottle of wine!
