Two wines that are very good and affordable are Greg Norman Shiraz and Goldwater Sauvignon Blanc. The Shiraz is about $16. It's easy drinking but still has a complex multi tiered flavor. The Goldwater is $18 and comes from New Zealand which specializes in Sauvignon Blanc. If you want an alternative to Chardonnay try this tropical flavored beauty.
