I'm looking for a nice lunch restaurant in the downtown Wilmington area, and have heard good things about the following 3 places. Does anyone have recommendations about them (+/-)?
1. Restaurant 821
3. Deep Blue
Also, I have 3 recommendations. Krazy Kat's offers superb dining in a warm, country inn setting. Fun and eclectic decor without the stuffiness. Excellent value for a top-notch French and Asian fusion dining. However, the chef is moving elsewhere, which means the sous-cheft is taking over the kitchen. If the caliber of cooking remains the same, Krazy Kat's will continue to merit its 4-star Mobil rating.
Another great spot for ethnic dining is Kahl-Bee on the Kirkwood Highway in Elsmere. Delicious Korean BBQ and other soups with friendly, professional service at a reasonable price. The facilties are clean and recently renovated, which is a big plus. This is the best "ethnic" restaurant in Wilmington, in my opinion.
Finally, the Charcoal Pit on Route 202 in North Wilmington has delicious mouth-watering burgers, and delightfully old-fashioned onion rings - not to mention shakes in a family setting. Try to avoid Friday & Saturday nights if you want faster service.
