Wildwood and Jakes

Thanks again for the advice. Had a great meal at Jake's. Great oysters - Caraquete. Perfectly moist and flavorful sturgeon, and my husband's halibut cheeks were homey and yummy. The dark chocolate box with white choc mousse and berries kept two children and two adults very happy. And while the ambience is a little loud, I was happy with the child-friendly service - crayons, pics and a child's menu.

Had lunch at Wildwood, great as always. Really, better than Higgins.

Finally, as a chowhound, I love going to Portland. The bread is great, and the farmers market is wonderful. And lets not forget Sauvie Island. But I never did make it to the Pancake House. Next year!
