For those of us who are stil mourning the loss
of Le Me Toujour, a new tenant opened in the same
spot @ 6 days ago.
The owner has a similar restaurant by the same
name in the Huntington Valley area and it supposedly
is doing well.
I had lunch the other day and it was very good
but it was a little pricey.
I was not enamored with the spicey Lemongrass Soup
Too watery and sour.
The decor is a little nicer than Le Me with more
decorations and some serenity -inducing mini fountains
and cascading water.
The appetizers are delicious (the largest and most
moist skewered chicken satay that I have ever tasted)
The Shrimp Penang was absolutely delicious..almost
creamy...it had the perfect level of sweet and spice.
They have a lot of duck and seafood items on the
menu but little beef.
Most items look sweet and NOT spicey (too watered
down American..should not have to ask for something
in a Thai restaurant to have more "heat" added in
my Humble opinion.)
Entre prices were a little higher than Le Me Toujours
were... most in the $18-24 range.
I did not see any specials and I did not see a dessert
I will reserve final judgement until a group of
us can go there for dinner and see what the specials
and main entres are like, and what the service is like
on a Saturday night.
