Hi, I did a search but didn't come up with anything - if there is such a thread (I'd be surprised if there isn't) would someone be so kind to link me to it?
I'm asking on behalf of a friend whose partner can no longer eat wheat. She wants to cook a turkey for Christmas, but asks how can she do it without bread dressing? It's his absolute favourite part!
I went through this earlier in the year when we tried to go gluten free for my daughter when she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, but I never came across a good bread substitute, hence I am drawing a blank as far as a wheat free stuffing that in any way could replace a bread based one goes.
For information, other things on the no-no list are butter, cream, milk, sugar, and sweet potatoes. The problem is gallstones. Maybe I should search chowhound for that as well...
Anyway, thanks so much in advance for any ideas. I would love for my friend and her partner to enjoy their turkey and stuffing this year, wheat free!
