Just realized we'll be in New Westminster for lunch tomorrow sans good chow references. Can anyone help in a hurry?
I searched and found the following possibilities:
Anny's Dairy Bar 722 6th Street at 6th Avenue 604-515-1410 mainly for the maple syrup twist with real ice cream but also has poutine and smoked meat sandwiches (owned by a quebecoise) -- 2008 rec by gourmet wife
Tamarind Hill across from royal City Centre, near 8th Street 628 6th Avenue
604 526 3000. -- gelfball Apr 30, 2008 -- good for Singapore laksa, good value, delicious -- kwailan4 likes the chicken rice
Alibaba posted for recs in Jan of this year, noting Top Sushi 457b East Columbia St.
604-759-3183 close to the Royal Columbian Hospital... it was pretty good value for the amount of food that they give.
victoriafoodie replied with Amelia Restaurant 640 12th Street 604-522-3288 "great greasy spoon, cheap breakfast, hangover cure extraordinaire" and
Burger Heaven "incredible burgers and shakes " 10th St 77 10th Street 604-522-8339 plus a couple of others I couldn't track down (not enough info).
Any thoughts on these or other ideas would be welcome. TIA.
