My wife and I decided to go to Weilers. I haven't been there in years and now I am wondering why? The food was great. I decided on a pastrami skyhigh and a bowl of mushroom barley soup and the wife ordered brisket dip and fries. First they brought out a few slices of thick warm chewy double corn rye and butter. I found out the bread came from Bea's but it is double baked which made it extra good. The soup was delicious. It was not sweet like Brent's which was a pleasure. The sandwiches were fantastic. The slaw and potato salads were great, again not sweet for once. While I was sitting there I was thinking that something, I could not put my finger on was different. It finally dawned on me that for once in a long time it was quiet and pleasant. No big crowds, no tumult, no fighting for a table, no attitude and no vaccums running by my table like at Brent's. I decided that I can give up just a bit of quality in exchange for this pleasant experience I had. Needless to say I shall return to Weilers soon.
