In a bid to get healthy this year I've been looking at a lot of bean recipes.
However having been burnt before when trying to convert the weight of dried beans in recipe, I need guidance on how to exchange the weights of dried, soaked and tinned beans.
For example: If I had 100g of dried beans, what weight are they after they've been soaked, after they've been soaked and cooked and the equivalent as tinned beans? I know I could do this the long way round, by actually soaking and cooking, but I'd be interested if anyone had any rules of thumb.
Can any one help?
