Hi Everyone,

I'm getting married next Spring and am looking for locations for weddings. We want to have the ceremony and reception in the same place, either in Manhattan or Brooklyn (the Slope, Brooklyn Heights sorta areas). It would be great if we could chose our own caterer (rather than having the site's forced upon us) but the main concerns are that we like the place and that it be reasonably priced. There will probably be about 120 of us there, yada yada yada. Does anyone know of any sites that I might have overlooked that you could recommend? (I know "reasonable" is a hard one to gauge, but it all just depends on whats included in the cost, doesn't it... Places like the Botanical gardens are out of my league. Places like the Manhattan Society for Ethical Culture might not be...)

Along the lines of caterers, if anyone has any recommendations for that, I wouldn't mind hearing either. Again, cost is a big issue, but so is good food. (I want it all!) Since my husband's friends and family will all be coming from overseas (New Zealand to South Africa to England) I thought it would be nice to have some real *American* food (rather than the french or nouveau food one usually finds at weddings). Any ideas there?
