Having been unhappily unemployed for about nine months, I finally got a job. As if that wasn't exciting enough, my little orientation group turned out to include several intrepid chowhound-types! Isn't that the best when that happens?? :)
We went out for lunch during orientation, to a place picked by another group member: Curry in a Hurry on Lex and 28. It was totally weak- bland, greasy, barely Indian food at not-great prices.
We're going out again this Friday, and I'm hoping to find a place for us so we don't end up in another Curry Hill tourist trap. We're up for anything, though probably we'd rather try something other than Indian, just for variety's sake. It should be under $10 per person. Any type of ethnic or "american" food will do. The only other place I've tried in the hood was Cafe le Chef, which was AMAZING but a little too pricey for this crowd.
Thanks in advance, and sorry for the long post- I'm just bubbly with excitement.
